Welcome to Barker's Food Store & Eatery, where culinary passion meets outstanding service. Today, we're thrilled to introduce you to the talented and enthusiastic individuals who make our establishment a truly special place.

Abi is our stunning Head Chef. At the Foodstore & Eatery, she loves the big windows that illustrate the stunning vista of the nearby woodland and river. On an early morning the windows provide a stunning peek at the locally famous red sunrises. When she's not working, Abi loves to spend time connecting with her friends and loved ones. As well as getting out in nature.

Our Assistant Chef Ana is affectionately known as Apple. When asked about her favourite thing about the Barker's Foodstore & Eatery she's got a lot to say! In particular, she loves the unique and delicious different versions of sauces, jams, dressings - "you name it, Barker's got it!" Apple is so passionate about her job, if you ask about her favourite Geraldine pastime, she tells you how much she loves her work, and she's absolutely brilliant at it too.

Ann-Marie colloquially known as A.M is our beloved Foodstore Manager. Working at Barker's she loves interacting with the customers. When you arrive, she will greet you with a warm smile and encourage you to try our many tasting stations so you can find a new favorite Barker's product. A.M also quotes the "great coffee" as another favourite thing about working at the Foodstore & Eatery. Her favourite thing about Geraldine is soaking up the stunning rural landscapes as she travels to and from work.

Brody is our resident Jack of All Trades, he gets involved with a little bit of everything from the kitchen to Front of House, and all inbetween. At the Foodstore & Eatery, Brody enjoys working with the team and the view looking over the river. Looking to the wider Gerladine area, he cites Te Moana Gorge as a favourite. Have you been there yourself?

Carlos, originally from Chile, has been enjoying the kiwi life for about 10 years, citing his love for trekking and camping. You can find Carlos prepping the cabinet and doing prep for the service kitchen. Carlos loves the people of the Foodstore & Eatery, especially how everybody supports one another. True to his love of trekking, in his spare time, Carlos likes to take his daughter for a walk to the Talbot Forrest Scenic Reserve.

Emma is one of our Front of House superstars. She loves the work atmosphere at Barker's, because "it's so positive!" By way of kai, her favourite meal is our Asian Style Fried Chicken, "you can't beat it! With that fried wing sauce. Delicious." An avid explorer, one of Emma's favourite things about Geraldine are all the bike tracks, so many to choose from! If you're up for a little drive, she would highly recommend visiting Te Moana Gorge! It's a beautiful spot with an awesome swimming hole for the summer with a few great rocks to jump off.

Ivan is our Front of House all-rounder and resident photographer. He's done all of our staff pics and he's wicked good (check out his IG @ivandegamo_photography). The food at BFSE is always amazing and meeting people from all over the globe and learning about their cultural backgrounds. Also, capturing the memorable moments and peoples smiles through my camera is such a great experience. The track of Little Mt. Peel has been my favourite and it has an exquisite and relaxing view once you've reached the top.

Rickie, another of our Front of House heroes. When asked about their favourite thing about the Barker's Foodstore & Eatery, Rickie likes the Barker's Caramel Spread with warm milk and talking to the customers. When not at work, Rickie likes to do the walking tracks around Geraldine on a daily basis! |

Debbie is another of our Front of House Champions. She's a born and breed Geraldine local and loves working for this company because she grew up around Barker's products and loves how Barker's represents Geraldine.

Meet Jasmin, our hardworking Front of House team leader. Jasmine always wanted to work in the Tourism industry, with different people from around the world. Based in Timaru, she's starting close to home in Geraldine at the Foodstore & Eatery. If you're stopping in for lunc, Jasmin recommends the Fish & Chips, and to pick up a jar of the special Foodstore Granola to take home. |
